I have included a variety of exemplars for this category. This page is not all inclusive, see my Curriculum Vitae for additional scholarly activities. The presentations and publications in this section are all peer reviewed. 

Primary investigator: Second Life Virtual Public Health Clinical Replacement.

Primary investigator: Second Life Virtual Public Health Clinical Replacement.    Working with Dr. Marjorie Schaffer and Dr. Linda Anderson. This study will involve a pre and post simulation survey, and focus groups held at the end of the semester. The study subjects are the CAS Senior Nursing students. All the students will complete the Plane crash disaster virtual simulation. The Public Health Instructors will assign either the Public Health Family Clinic or the Safety Assessment house for the second simulation. Study timelineSeptember -December 2014.

Co-investigator: Chronic Illness Self-Management Support, Baccalaureate Nursing   Students Learning the RN Role Through Virtual Clinical Simulation.   Working with Dr. Kathleen Tilton. Study timeline: January-May 2014. Publication in process-to be submitted October 2014

Co-investigator: Enhancing Clinical Reasoning: Teaching Thinking through Debriefing Pilot Study. Dr. Susan Forneris primary investigator, working with the Minnesota Consortium for Nursing Education Research,   a collaborative group of nursing faculty from the Chi-at-Large chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. Full study September 2013. One publication submitted, two others will be submitted October 2014.
